STATEMENTS @ 30


Ursel Schlicht & Hans Tammen collaborate under the name Statements since the the late 1980s. Their first CD was called Statements, which featured no less than 30 short concise musical pieces with a wide sonic spectrum. At the time they were using a multitude of objects on guitar and piano, creating a mostly acoustic language far from conventional sounds on these instruments.

Oct 2023 they revisited this concept of prepared guitar and inside piano. For the second set they invited stellar friends and colleagues soprano saxophonist Jane Ira Bloom, cellist Tomas Ulrich, and bassist Hilliard Greene.
