Born and raised in East New York, Brooklyn, vocal artist, performer, composer, storyteller and interdisciplinary artist Shelley Hirsch has been pushing boundaries with her unique vocal art and performance work, drawing on her life experiences, her memory, her vivid imagination for decades. Ken Filiano is a bassist, composer, improviser, and teacher who performs around the world, fusing the rich traditions of the double bass with his own seemingly limitless imagination. Hans Tammen is just another worker in rhythms, frequencies and intensities. Using textures, timbre and dynamics as primary elements, his music is continuously shifting, with different layers floating into the foreground while others disappear.
