The Arbitrary Art of Numbers – Gallery Show

Presented at Made in NY Media Center by IFP, this show features Frances Wang's peaceful street scene manipulated by geolocation, Yuxi Cao's distortion of an iconic 900 year old Chinese painting using Beijing's air quality data, Kurt Ralske's poetic rendering of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, Matthew Ostrowski's re-imagination of Koyaanisqatsi as a colorspace, Eva Davidova's mixing of spaces and bodies to create uncertainties, and Emilio Vavarella / Daniel Belquer highlighting topics and keywords of all the memories collected by their drone project.

Blatant Lies is a battle of analog and digital sounds as Hans Tammen and Adam Rokhsar use modular synths and the sensors hidden in smart phones to make a new form of dance music.

60×60 is a one-hour-long show made by sequencing 60 pre-recorded pieces by 60 different composers, each piece a minute in length or shorter. A unique collaboration between VoxNovus / Robert Voisey and Harvestworks in New York City to create a 5.1 surround sound mix, this 60x60 presentation is now available in other sound art galleries and presentation spaces.
